Soup: Fresh and warm caramelized onion soup, served with cheese on Baguette. Lip-smacking goodness! (3.5/5)

Entrée: Absolute loves for the escargots seasoned with aromatic garlic and sweet tomatoes. Perfect marriage! (5/5)

Entrée: Delightful fresh salad with unique combi of cheese, tomatoes and pear. Nice warm-up for the palates (4.5/5)Mains: Hub had the Special of the Day - Pork Cutlet. Tender and juicy meat, though slightly fatty for my liking. Hub had no complaints though. (3.5/5)Mains: My choice was the Rib-eye Steak - tastes better than it looks, well-tenderized and yummy! Served with crispy skinny fries. (4/5)Dessert: Hub’s clever choice of Fried banana with ice cream and raspberry sauce (it’s actual name is better-sounding – I just cant recall it) won our hearts. Hot, sweet banana with cold ice cream – you’ll never go wrong! Tad sweet though with the sauce. Great for the sweet tooth. (4.5/5)Mains: Hub had the Special of the Day - Pork Cutlet. Tender and juicy meat, though slightly fatty for my liking. Hub had no complaints though. (3.5/5)


Dessert: The meringue with mixed berries was too sweet for me, but the sour bit from the berries lessened the sweetness. Will try the cheesecake that other diner have been raving about. (3/5)

So after 2 consecutive days of Hong Kong, we headed next to Taiwan for our foodscapades. On Sunday, the Hub started craving for Taiwan food. Wifey me googled for it and our trusty food guide, Hungrygowhere, churned out “Peng Lai Ge” along Joo Chiat, so off we headed! Turns out, its name has changed to a classier “Four Season” and it was crowdedddddd! My oh my, it’s like a hidden gem admist the crazy narrow roads and sleazy bars in that area. Here are the finger linkin’ good visual feast you’ve been waiting for! 😉

Side Condiments: Chicken Floss, Hardboiled Egg & Pickles

The legendary XXL Chicken - falls short of Shihlin Market's version though.

Egg Pancake with Flosssssss..... Not too bad but quite eggy and not crispy enough. The overall taste was nice 🙂 Havent had this in a loooooong time.

Hub's BOBO Milk Tea (what does BOBO mean? Cos the others were "Bubble" Tea... hmmm...

This makes a nice and cosy place to meet up with friends or dine out with the family for some authentic TW food at affordable prices! Very economical! Our bill was about 20ish for 2 pax?? Considering that we had 2 mains, 2 sides PLUS 2 drinks… that’s really value for money 🙂
